Lethal Weapon star Danny Glover's next role is as a spokesperson for Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich. Glover's distinctive voice is featured in a series of ads for the Ohio Congressman, who will begin running the television spots on January 4th. In one of the ads, Glover says in a voiceover, quote, "All young Americans deserve a world without end -- not a war without end." The commercials will be broadcast in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Washington, D.C., according to the Associated Press.

Glover has been a lifelong activist for liberal causes. He currently serves on the board of the Algebra Project, a math empowerment program; is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Program; and is the chairman of the TransAfrica Forum, an African-American lobbying organization on Africa and the Caribbean. Last month, he received the Fred L. Shuttlesworth Human Rights Award from the Birmingham-based Civil Rights Institute.
