Titanic star Kate Winslet has given birth to her second child. The British actress and filmmaker husband Sam Mendes welcomed little Joe Mendes into the world on December 22nd in New York. The baby weighed in at seven pounds, 13 ounces, according to publicist Jennifer Allen. The newborn is the couple's first child together -- Winslet has a daughter by a previous marriage.

Winslet and Mendes -- the director of American Beauty and Road To Perdition -- married in secret in May. They announced Winslet's pregnancy two months later.

Winslet's film credits include The Life Of David Gale, Quills, and Sense And Sensibility. She's also stars opposite Jim Carrey in the upcoming movie Eternal Sunshine Of The Eternal Mind, and opposite Johnny Depp in J.M. Barrie's Neverland.
