We are proud to induct Karen Glover into the 94.3 WYBC Optimum Listener Hall of Fame!

Below is what Karen submitted

I am nominating myself as a Hall of Fame listener of WYBC, I have been listening to WYBC for 30 years. AM was my favorite time listening to the Tom Joyner Morning Show. That was my daily AM  entertainment while driving to work. I also listened to WYBC during lunch and breaks in the car.  I currently listen to the new morning show staff, DeDe, and find her quite entertaining. One of my favorite segments on the show is, 1. Today In Black History, I love how they highlight achievements made by African Americans, , both past and present.  2. Highlighting Black Business in the area, it keeps the community knowledgeable of  restaurants and services. My other favorite listening time is Saturday AM, The  Electric Drum, a great resource for community services, such as Health Fairs. 

I have won over the years at least 15 contests for concert tickets and other events. My favorite prizes were a floral arrangement for three consecutive months, that was many years ago and Earth ,Wind and Fire tickets. Thank you WYBC for being a great radio station and community resource.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excellent cold-calling and networking capabilities to secure appointments. 
  • Outgoing and persistent in contacting business decision-makers and focused on meeting the needs and goals of their client.
  • Experience and background in B2B Sales and Marketing.
  • Goal-oriented to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Experience in client-facing customer service role; excels in providing excellent customer service.
  • Prepares and delivers effective sales presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; sales or related experience.
  • Must drive own vehicle, have and maintain a clean driver’s record with state mandated auto insurance.
