WYBC & Yale University celebrate Vampire On the Go

Name: Jada Jones

Business Name: Vampire on the Go

Year Business was started in New Haven: 2014

Why did you start your own business?

I wanted to help Individuals overcome their phobia to blood draws. People are most comfortable in their homes and the option to have your blood work done there makes the procedure more relieving.

Why did you choose to start your business in New Haven?

I chose to start my business in New Haven to solve a problem in my community.  My services help individuals who struggle with transportation get their labs done to get the care they need. I also give encouragement and mentorship to youth who may not know what route they want to choose when it comes to obtaining a career.

What challenges did you have to overcome in starting your business?

I had a lot of individuals telling me that there would be no need for my services as I went door to door advertising.  But when Covid 19 hit, it took a positive turn around due to peoples’ fear of contacting the virus.
